Verification

PremiumStudio → Server management → Verification10 settings2 min read

Verification keeps raid bots out. New members get an Unverified role that sees only one channel. There they click a button and solve a challenge; once they pass they get the Verified role and the rest of the server opens up.

How it works#

  • Challenge types: Click (one button), Math/text captcha, Image captcha or Unscramble a word.
  • Optional: refuse accounts younger than X days, and kick members who haven't verified after X hours.
  • The panel is a normal embed with a button that you design yourself.

Before you start#

Two roles: Unverified (sees only the verify channel) and Verified (sees the rest).
The bot's role above both roles.

Set it up#

Part 1Settings5 steps
Open the page

In the Studio sidebar, under SERVER MANAGEMENT, click Verification.

Set Unverified role and Verified role.

Pick the panel channel

Usually #verify or #rules.

Part 2The panel3 steps
Design the button and message

Set button text, emoji and color, and write the panel embed. The preview shows the result.

Save and post

Click Save, then Post panel in Discord.

Test it

Click the button yourself with an alt account.

After passing, the test account gets the Verified role and loses Unverified.

Troubleshooting#

Members still see every channel
Your channels allow @everyone. Deny View Channel for @everyone and allow it for Verified instead.
"I can't give that role"
Move the bot's role above the Verified role.
