Leveling

Members earn XP for chatting and level up over time. Level-ups can be announced in a channel or DM, members show off their rank card with /rank, and you can reward levels with roles.

How it works#

Members get the XP you set per message, at most once per cooldown, so spamming doesn't help.
Each level needs a bit more XP than the one before.
Members can pick their own rank card background; yours is the default.
Level roles are given automatically when a member reaches the level.

Set it up#

Open the page

In the Studio sidebar, under GAMES & FUN, click Leveling.

Turn it on

Enable leveling.

XP and cooldown

E.g. 15 XP per message, 60-second cooldown.

Announcement

Channel, DM or off — and the message with {user} and {level}. Save.

Add rewards

Under Level role rewards, type a level, pick a role, click Add.

Every setting explained#

Enable leveling
XP per message	XP for each message (after the cooldown).
Cooldown (seconds)	Minimum time between two XP awards per member.
Level-up announcement	In a channel, by DM, or off.
Level-up channel	Used when announcing in a channel.
Level-up message	Supports {user} and {level}.
Default rank card background	Used for every member who hasn't picked a background yet (see the link above). A member who picks their own overrides this for themselves.

Level role rewards

Level	The level that unlocks the role.
Role	Given when that level is reached.
